Sew and tell meet up
I've been working with Seattle Makers to spread the joys of sewing and the latest manifestation is the Sew and Tell Meetup. It's virtual so you can join from any which where as long as you've got a little internet to fuel the zoom connection.
The Sew and Tell meetup is exciting to me because I love to learn from others. I know my way around a sewing machine and I'm an experienced designer, but I believe there is always more to learn and new ways to improve. The virtual event provides enthusiasts of all skill levels a chance to share ideas, brainstorm and solve problems together! Pass the crackers because this is my jam.
Calling all folks interested in sewing projects! Looking to share what you're working on, get advice on a sewing project or just chat about sewing in general? We’ll share ideas, talk strategy and help each other trouble shoot.
Meetups will begin with a “show and tell” portion where everyone can show the group their machine or favorite sewing gadget before moving on to a discussion portion. During this time, we’ll open the floor to talk about what people are working on and areas where they’re seeking advice. We’ll round off with suggestions for future topics, so bring your ideas!
Bring your Sewing machine, favorite sewing gadgets, latest project, and future sewing related topics you’d like to discuss. You will leave with new insights and connections.
All ages and experience levels are welcome. Under 16's must be accompanied by a guardian.
Join us the first Monday of each month from 5pm - 6pm. << Click for the Meetup event page. You can also check out the Seattle Makers Meetup Group Page.
